The conference organized by the Tourism College at the Hilton Hotel (formerly Hilton Park) on “Mediterranean Diet, Cypriot Cuisine and Tourism” was successfully completed.
The conference was welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr. Savvas Perdios, who emphasized that the Cypriot Cuisine, our tradition and its connection with the Mediterranean diet should be promoted as an attraction for Cyprus.
The Vice President of our Association and Executive Chef of Louis Hotels Mr. Kyriakos Sotiriou addressed a speech entitled “Cypriot Cuisine, Cypriot Products and Tourism.” Mr Sotiriou referred to the Mediterranean Nutrition model as the healthiest and tasty diet program that offers health and enjoyment. Cyprus, he continued, is a Mediterranean island in which nutrition is deeply connected and based on the model of Mediterranean diet.
