On Friday, November 8th, the Cyprus Chefs Association (CCA) hosted a formal dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Nicosia to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The event was held under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
The President of the Association, Mr. Petros Gabriel, addressed the guests, reflecting on the Association’s journey and evolution over the years. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the chefs who have devoted themselves to Cyprus’s culinary industry, as well as to everyone who has contributed to the Association’s multifaceted mission.
Mr. Gabriel emphasized that the Association’s main goal remains steadfast since its founding: to promote and elevate the culinary arts in Cyprus and abroad, enhance professional skills, and support the pursuit of excellence among its members.
In his remarks, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr. Costas Koumis, commended the work of the Cyprus Chefs Association in advancing gastronomy and highlighted the unwavering support of the Ministry towards the Association.
The evening’s menu was curated by the CCA’s Vice President and Executive Chef of Louis Hotels, Mr. Kyriakos Sotiriou, and his team, who delighted the guests with an array of exquisite flavors.
Honored guests included the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr. Costas Koumis, the Mayor of Nicosia, Mr. Charalambos Prountzos, a representative of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEBE); Continental Director of South Europe – Worldchefs Mr. George Damianou, Presidents and General Directors of related associations, sponsors, friends and members of the Association.
